چکیده

Classical economic models often place emphasis on the aggregate interactions of suppliers and consumers in a marketplace, and many assume market actors have easy access to shared, trustworthy information. While these models have been widely effective in describing economic phenomena, they neglect an inherent and important property of economies: that they are networks of independent firms, interacting with a relatively small set of business partners, and operating with a fraction of total information about the economy. Some questions in microeconomics do indeed focus on the behaviors of a single or a small set of firms, however there is still a large gap in our understanding of how economies work from the networkanalytic perspective.

Buyer-Supplier Networks and Aggregate Volatility

This paper investigates the structure and evolution of customer-supplier networks in Japan using a unique dataset that contains information on customer and supplier linkages for over 500,000 incorporated non-financial firms for the five years from 2008 to 2012. We find, first, that the number of customer links is unequal across firms: the customer link distribution has a power-law tail with an ...

Quantitative measuring of operational complexity of supplier- customer system with control thresholds

Abstract. Measurement of operational complexity of company supplier-customer relations belongs to important managerial tasks. In the present work, we deal with quantitative measuring of these relations on the base of entropy approach. We assume a problem-oriented database exists, which contains detailed records of all product orders, deliveries and forecasts both in quantity and time being sche...

Integration of QFD, AHP, and LPP methods in supplier development problems under uncertainty

Quality function deployment (QFD) is a customer-driven approach, widely used to develop or process new product to maximize customer satisfaction. Last researches used linear physical programming (LPP) procedure to optimize QFD; however, QFD issue involved uncertainties, or fuzziness, which requires taking them into account for more realistic study. In this paper, a set of fuzzy data is used to ...
